LET'S PLAY

Young Infants: Lay or sit infant on a blanket or mat on the floor. Touch or wiggle  each of the baby’s body parts as it is named in the rhyme.

Older Infants/Toddlers: As the rhyme is chanted, point to and touch or wiggle your different body parts and have your child make the same moves you are making.

I have ten little fingers,
And ten little toes,
Two little arms,
And one little nose.
One little mouth,
And two little ears,
Two little eyes,
For smiles and tears.
One little head,
And two little feet,
One little chin,
That’s me complete!

TIPS

  • Encourage your infant or toddler to dance and move her body parts as she chants/listens to the rhyme.
  • This activity can also be played in front of a mirror. This will allow your child to see the body part she is pointing to.
