In this activity, the child will first watch a video about the shapes they can use when drawing a house. Then they will build a house using shapes on screen.

Video made possible by Kentucky Educational Television (KET).

After logging into your CLI Engage account, launch the activity by clicking the button. Type the child’s first name and last initial to begin!

LAUNCH THE ACTIVITY!

Independent practice

At the end of the activity, the child will be asked to make a shape house on the table.

Knowledge check

Have the child show you the shapes they used to build their shape house. Ask them which shape they used for each part of the house (e.g., small rectangle for a door).

TIPS

  • After each child’s attempt, print or save their results. This must be done before you exit to avoid loss of results.
